MØ (pronounced "moo-erh", or simply "Mo") is an up-and-coming singer, songwriter, and performer whose unique electro indie pop sound can be compared to those of artists such as Lykke Li, Broods, Banks, and MS MR, just to name a few. However, this starlet is in a league all her own as a female, Danish artist grabbing universal attention with her sultry vocals and electronic/R&B melodies, giving her a distinctive urban vibe. Karen Marie Ørsted was born in Odense, Denmark and decided to pursue music at a very young age. In 2012, she was invited to New York's CMJ Music Marathon showcase, where she was adored by fans and critics alike. In 2013, Ørsted's vocals were featured on popular Swedish producer Avicii's song "Dear Boy". Also that year, she released her first single "Pilgrim", which was popular in the Danish market.

MØ released her debut album No Mythologies To Follow on March 7, 2014. The record includes some of her most popular songs, such as "Don't Wanna Dance" and "XXX 88", featuring American DJ Diplo. With echoey melodies, wide-ranging vocals, recurring electronic tones, and a large scope of lyrical themes, this album encompasses the beat-driven, soulful, street energy that epitomizes MØ's artistry.
