ZERO 7 - EP3 | ALBUM REVIEWS

CS566351-01A-BIG The English duo Zero 7 has released their third EP, EP3, digitally on April 14, 2015. Although the name didn't seem to have much thought put into it like artist many of us music lovers have grown accustomed to, it's substance completely obliterates your thoughts on it's title. The four track EP consists of ambient jazz infused with electronic pop. The familiarity of their tracks are overwhelmingly appealing, as it being the duo’s 3rd EP it is well assumed that they branched this one from their previous two in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. The odds of finding an artist that remains true to their originality and remain focused on what they are about is slim, and it’s reassuring that Zero 7 kept what was good about them, without any major alterations over time.

EP3 can be described as a great set of tracks that can fill a room with great energy while also generating an impeccable flow. The EP consists of many collaborations with artists like Only Girl in “The Colour of Spring," Danny Pratt in “400 Blows,” and Jose Gonzalez apart of “Last Light.” Each artists that was involved in a collaboration with Zero 7 in their recent EP goes along beautifully with the sound generated by the two consisting of bird chirps to the vibrating octaves of a piano in the background. Overall, this EP is incredible and I personally am more than ecstatic to have these two masterminds working together again and skyrocket their musical career again. Keep a look out for their full length album, said to be coming in the near future. Check out EP3 below.
