Preview: Sweetlife Festival
Just when you thought festival season could not get any better, local favorites Sweetgreen announced a pretty impressive line-up for their sixth annual Sweetlife Festival! The now two-day festival is back, letting us indulge in a myriad of awesome music at Merriweather Post Pavillion on May 30th and 31st. The line-up is diverse, spanning across a range of all genres. The food vendors are all locals as well, and there will be vegetarian/gluten-free options! Listed below are a few acts we're dying to see. The Bots are two brothers from Los Angeles, making a wave in the punk scene. Check out "All I Really Want," from their debut album Pink Palms.
If you're a frequent Capitol Sound reader, you know that we're huge fans of Sun Club! The Baltimore band takes pop music to a new level, listen to "Summer Feet" from their EP Dad Claps At The Mom Prom.
Wet is a trio from Brooklyn, New York. Although Kelly Zutrau already gives any other vocalist a run for their money, their remixes make this group stand out even more. Check out their remix to MSMR's "Think Of You."
Raury made a huge dent in the music scene with his debut project Indigo Child in 2014. Listen to a personal favorite, Woodcrest Manor, from the EP.
Marina Diamandis dominated the pop music scene with her sophomore album, Electra Heart, back in 2012. Back with a new album, Froot, we're excited to see her do it again! Listen to the title track below.
Canadian R&B vocalist The Weeknd headlines this years festival, along with rapper Kendrick Lamar and DJ Calvin Harris. Listen to his track with MikeWillMadeIt, "Drinks On Us."
Let us know who you're excited to see. We hope to see you at the festival!
