Preview: Chromeo at Lincoln Theatre
Even in the toughest of times, it’s hard to imagine a joy more persistent than that which shines through every Chromeo performance. Last time the Funk Lordz visited the District nearly a year ago, they boogied through two sweaty nights at 9:30 Club, teasing new singles from their soon to be released record, “Head Over Heels.” Since the release of their latest album last summer, Chromeo have travelled the world debuting “Head Over Heels” to eager audiences around the world.
Chromeo’s Dave and Pee-Thug tore up the festival circuit with their chrome-bolstered set and DJ’ed dancing competitions throughout Asia. Now, the Funk Lordz return to D.C. for a uniquely spectacular night at Lincoln Theatre, bringing a full live band to breathe new life into their colorful classics on Sunday, May 19.
