Chicago’s own Emily Mucha, better known as Vampa, is set to open up the BOOGIE T.RIO Live Band tour with her “genre-bending” soundscapes and swirling melodic vocals.  Working the deep Chicago bass music scene, Vampa has stood out, emphasizing her dark dubs style and sultry vocals. Her passion for the underground sound and low wobbling bass, captures audiences like no other. Gaining endless support from artists such as Yheti, Whipped Cream, Eprom and of course Boogie T, her progression and growth in this scene is unmatched. Make sure to show up to 9:30 Club nice and early to catch this master in her element.

It seemed as though DJ and producer Anderson Gallegos, more popularly known as Mersiv snatched the spotlight in a heartbeat with his ominous, deep space soundwaves. After his 5 set run during Electric Forest 2018, fans quickly spread word of his name and now he has expanded his debuts to that of the Switchyard Stage at Buku Music and Arts Festival and Coachella Do-Lab. His latest release, the “Phase One EP” holds high praise to fans of Tipper and Champagne Drip as he explores and expands upon murky and viscous bass lines decorated with mind melting sound designs. Mersiv’s vibe in comparison to the rest of the lineup plays an important role in balancing out the musical storyline, underlining the entire show and with a lineup as eclectic as this one, balance is key!

Brock Thornton, more commonly known as Boogie T has been exploring all trades of the music industry since to ripe age of 11, in his home state of Louisiana. Picking up piano at 6, and guitar at 8, his early budding passion for music no doubt lead him to his success today. Keeping close to his soulful roots, Thornton has graced the crowds with deep, wobbly bass anthems such as “Bad Motha” featuring Whiskers, “Raven Master” off of his 2017 release, “Soul’d Out” and of course, the crowd favorite collaboration with Ganja White Night, “Flava.” However, this set, in particular, will be a different vibe for all the attendees as Thorton returns to his live band roots to unveil the BOOGIE T.RIO Live Band Tour. Recently debuted at Electric Forest Weekend 2, Thornton's band is an homage to his blues and funk background. Its sound, influenced by countless funk artists such as Griz, Sunsquabi, The String Cheese Incident and more. With Thorton on the guitar, Andriu Yanovski on the keys and synths, and Frank Castro, this exposure and mind melting combination of genres is sure to leave its mark on the 9:30 Club.

The 9:30 Club is about to host one of the most eclectic whirlwinds of musical exploration that I’ve seen in a while. It goes without saying but, make sure you snag you and your friends tickets to this must see experience on Saturday, March 30!
