It’s nearly impossible to name drop a more iconic, memorable or talented hip hop group than the legends known as Wu-Tang Clan. Since their inception in 1992, Wu-Tang Clan set the cadence for their burgeoning and blossoming genre. With deep roots in Staten Island, this collective is an essential pillar in the Pantheon of East Coast hip hop, and quickly established themselves as important players in New York’s elite group of contemporary, musical tastemakers. Wu Tang Clan is the brainchild of some of the most talented and regarded MC’s of all time: RZA, Method Man, GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, Cappadonna and the late, great Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

This tour is in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of their first album “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers),” which is widely regarded as one of the best rap albums of all time. Deeply inspired by martial arts and their New York roots, Wu Tang Clan shook the industry with the ruckus and the experimental sampling techniques they dabbled with for the first time on “36 Chambers.” This record foreshadows the collective’s understandably inevitable success, as they let the world know that “Wu Tang Clan ain’t nothin’ to fuck with!”

As the legacy of this 1993 record rolls on, nearly all living members of Wu Tang Clan will tear up The Anthem on Thursday, November 1. Supported by a stacked line up of openers, this is guaranteed to be a night to remember. Up and coming rapper Jahn Rome will open the night with some locally-sourced bangers, accompanied by creative collaborator, Fabrizio.

In preparation to celebrate the decades-long career of Wu Tang Clan, here’s a playlist to help you brush the cobwebs off iconic lyrics, remember your favorites and get hype for Thursday night.
